Founded in 2000, Solass has helped some of the largest and most successful organisations extract tangible benefits from enterprise business systems. Whilst working with these companies, we came to realise that for such organisations to gain any further significant return, they needed to re-think how they managed their most important asset – the knowledge residing within their company.

Solass embarked on a new mission, to find the most advanced knowledge management and acquisition tools in the world that could meet the growing needs of large organisations.

After reviewing the market, we selected PCPACK, a unique software product developed by Epistemics that uses a range of psychology-based tools within a software framework.  It enables organisations to acquire, validate, manage and publish knowledge in an efficient and structured manner.  The resulting knowledge base contains expertise that was previously locked inside the heads of key individuals, combined with knowledge held in documents and systems.

Around this product we then developed a methodology that enables us to deliver this powerful tool into the hands of many individuals across a company, thereby enabling the business to establish a pervasive knowledge culture that is deeply rooted within the individuals. This ensures that knowledge is acquired and managed to deliver long-term benefits throughout the organisation.
